The boostEDIC M&L project was officially kicked-off in Madrid today, bringing together project partners for the start of a four-year journey towards strengthening the common European mobility data space.
Funded by the European Union’s Digital Europe Programme, with a total budget of €15 million, the project represents a key step in advancing Europe’s vision for a more interoperable, data-driven and sustainable mobility and logistics ecosystem.
The boostEDIC M&L initiative will support the establishment of the future European Digital Infrastructure Consortium for Mobility and Logistics Data (EDIC M&L), fostering collaboration among Member States, public authorities, businesses and research organisations.
Over the next four years, the project will focus on:
- strengthening European collaboration on mobility and logistics data
- supporting interoperability and cross-border data sharing
- developing a shared European roadmap and a dedicated Knowledge Hub
- enabling cross-border use cases through financial support to third parties, demonstrating the value of data sharing in real-world applications
Bringing together 25 organisations from across Europe, the project combines policy alignment, technical expertise and operational implementation to help build a trusted and interoperable data ecosystem for mobility and logistics.
